Welcome to Selden Bed & Breakfast

Situated in 65 acres of the South Downs National Park at the foot of the beautiful South Downs in the West Sussex village of Patching, ‘Old Selden Farm’ is a lovely flint and brick farmhouse with cosy ensuite accommodation and stunning grounds.

Formerly a dairy farm, Old Selden Farm is the ideal B&B for anyone wishing to stay in a peaceful environment with great transport links to local tourist attractions including historical Arundel and Brighton. Benefiting from local pubs and forest walks, Old Selden Farm is the perfect retreat.

Private rooms with ensuite facilities

Old Selden Farm comprises The Gatehouse double with a private garden, one cosy twin room, three spacious family rooms, and four relaxing double rooms.

All guest bedrooms have a lovely fresh ‘English Country’ feel, with oak floors or luxury carpets, pale walls, fluffy duvets, and traditional furniture.

Bedrooms have either super king-size double beds or twin beds and en-suite facilities including a large thermostatic shower, WC, and washbasin.

We have dog-friendly rooms available and respectfully ask that dogs are not taken into the breakfast room.  Dogs are charged at an additional £10 per dog per night, with a maximum of two dogs per room.

* The Gatehouse is not suitable for dogs.

Our Accommodation

Our B&B check-in is in our shepherd’s hut, located in the main car park at Old Selden Farm.  Manned by friendly staff, you will be given the opportunity to choose your preferred breakfast time (between 7am-9.15 am.

Family rooms have a super king-size double bed and 2 bunk beds (suitable for up to the age of 14 years or twin beds).

All rooms are equipped with a TV, hairdryer, fridge, and hospitality tray with tea, coffee, drinking chocolate, and biscuits.

Toiletries and thoughtful extras are all provided to make your stay a `home from home` experience.

Breakfast is served in our cosy breakfast room, overlooking our stunning grounds. Guests can enjoy a delicious Full English Breakfast, yoghurts, fresh fruit, cereals, granola, toast, and preserves. A selection of teas, coffee, and fruit juice are available.

Weddings at Selden Barns Wedding Venue

The Selden Barn Wedding Venue, set in an idyllic rural location within the South Downs National Park is surrounded by fields, forests, and hedgerows. The formal gardens to the west are bounded with flint and brick walls and the patio terrace looks east across the fields of grazing horses towards Patching Village, between Worthing and Arundel.

Family owned and run, we create a friendly, warm and exclusive atmosphere for your weddings. With our license for civil ceremonies, you can get married in our beautiful old ceremony room before moving over to the wedding barn for an unforgettable experience.
